Annual Interfaith Dinner

Muslim Unity Center hosting Annual Interfaith Dinner in May 1st. 

“We are not makers of history, we are made by history” Dr. Martin Luther King Junior, and now it is time to talk about history. It is my pleasure to introduce our keynote speaker “Dr. Rudolph Bilal Ware “. Dr. Ware is a historian of Africa and Islam. He earned his Ph.D. in 2004 at the University of Pennsylvania where he trained in African History, African-American History, and Islamic Intellectual History. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at UC-Santa Barbara. His teaching focuses on Islamic thought, anti-slavery movements in West Africa and the African Diaspora, and the broader intersection of Race, Religion, and Revolutionary Thought.
