Ramadan Rules
Ramadan is a spiritual time for all of us. The following rules should be respected during Taraweeh and other prayer times so that a peaceful time of worship can be experienced by all.

•Please refrain from having children 6 yrs and under in the Prayer Area while prayer is conducted.
•Mothers with children 6 yrs and under are encouraged to utilize the Mother’s Room in the Ladies Area or Classroom A during prayer.
•Babysitting services are available on Fridays & Saturdays and is required for all children 6 and under. Minimum $2.00/child suggested donation.
•If you choose to bring your children, they must be closely supervised. No child should be left unsupervised in the building at anytime.
•All youth must be accompanied & supervised by a parent or an adult and must attend the prayer.
•Please observe noble silence in the prayer hall.
•Conversations in the Rotunda area should be kept to a minimum.
•Absolutely no food or drink allowed inside prayer halls.
•Please make sure that your cell phones are set on vibrate rather than ring.
•No loitering in the hallways, the building, or the parking lot will be permitted. 
•Please assist us in keeping our Mosque clean & neat by utilizing the shoe & coat racks that have been placed for your convenience.
•Please express your respect for the house of Allah and dress modestly.

Parking
Please abide by the following parking rules during the Month of Ramadan:
•Parking at the Center is limited. Please do your best to carpool and arrive early to secure a space. 
•Please refrain from parking illegally in the Center’s lot, on any side streets or on any neighbor’s properties. Sheriff’s Dept. will be issuing tickets and/or towing illegally parked vehicles.
•The grass lot next to the Center is private property and is not available for parking. 
•The Unity Center is not responsible for damages to any vehicles.

 

Taraweeh Prayers
Nightly Following Isha

Call To Prayer (Iqamah) for Isha @ 9:40 pm ( 9/1 – 9/4)
Call To Prayer (Iqamah) for Isha @ 9:30 pm ( 9/5 – 9/11)
Call To Prayer (Iqamah) for Isha @ 9:15 pm (9/12 -9/18 )
Call to Prayer (Iqamah) for Isha @ 9:00 pm (9/19 - End of Ramadan)

A social area and light refreshments will be available in the gymnasium after Taraweeh. 
The gymnasium will be closed for sports activities throughout Ramadan during prayers.
We welcome donations to cover the refreshments, please contact Talha Hares at 248-417-5656.

Iftar Dinners & Seating will be availablein the Gymnasium & Banquet Hall
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Center’s Office, M-F, 9-5pm and after Jumaa Prayers.
 No tickets will be reserved until payment is received.

$10.00/person - Members
$12.00/person - Non-members
(Children 5 years and under free)
At The Door Price: $15.00/person
Important Change
Children will dine with their families.

Babysitting and movies will be provided in the classrooms after Dinner.


Iftar Sponsorships
“...And whoever gave a person who fasted water to drink, Allah shall grant that giver to drink from my fountain, such a drink where after that person shall never again feel thirsty until he enters Jannah.”
We welcome sponsorships to defray the Iftar costs $500 sponsors will receive a tax-deduction and 5 tickets admission to each of the 4 Iftar Dinners.
Iftar Sponsorships for families in need            are welcomed and encouraged.

Night of Power (Laylat al Qadr)
Friday Night September 26th, 2008

•No babysitting will be provided during the nightly prayer service.
•Audio will be available in the Blue Room -Classroom A and can be used for Ladies Prayer Area overflow.
Suhoor will be served to all attendees.
Suhoor sponsorships are welcomed.

Khitmah
